  • Co-founder & Managing Editor

    Ọna Anosike is the Co-founder and Managing Editor of the Tonic Literary Journal. She is a graduate of Lesley University’s MFA program in Creative Writing. Her work has been published in The Offing and has appeared in The Rumpus, Medium, and elsewhere. She is a former AWP mentee and a proud BWOC Grubstreet member. Ọna currently lives in Brooklyn and is excited to work with emerging and established writers.

    Janet Pocorobba is a Professor of Creative Writing at Lesley University and Director of their Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing. She is the author of The Fourth String: A Memoir of Sensei and Me and essays in The Rumpus, River Teeth, Post Road, Harvard Review, The Writer, and elsewhere.     A.J Verdelle is a creative writer, publishing in multiple genres. Verdelle’s primary focus is fiction and creative nonfiction. Verdelle has published The Good Negress (fiction) and Miss Chloe: A Memoir of Literary Friendship with Toni Morrison (creative nonfiction).

  • Web Designer

    Genesis Lauu is a writer and photographer creating in Ireland and Istanbul. They are a graduate of Lesley University's MFA programs in Creative Writing and Visual Arts. They have been traveling and making photos of North America and western Europe since 2013. Their photos and written work explore a myriad of themes, including connections during the global pandemic.

  • Journal Designer

    Sarah Kilgallon is a visual artist, journalist creating in Lisbon, Portugal. Her visual work has been exhibited in the USA and Portugal. She’s designed visual layouts for websites, journals, and newsletters. As a journalist, she writes extensively about women’s health and aging.

  • Featured Artist

    Daniel Serrano is an illustrator and visual designer, with a BFA in Illustration from Lesley University. Currently working as a freelance illustrator based in Boston MA.
